CleanTech Energy has invested angel level funds and/or provided consulting services on funding on selected clean technologies and service businesses. Our direct investments have varied, but are focused on bring clean technology to market in energy supply, energy efficiency and global warming mitigation. We thoroughly understand energy supply and feel comfortable with energy demand reduction technologies. We have invested in leading alternative energy technology. There is great potential in reducing carbon created per unit of energy produced. We see breakthroughs with several technologies we are tracking in the US National Energy Laboratories and in leading universities. The past investment environment for demand reduction has been mixed. There have been few price signals to energy users to reflect the true cost of clean and even traditional sourced electricity. In California there is a push for "Green Houses and Brown LawnsTM " where only green and sustainable energy is used for heating, cooling and lighting homes. This includes reducing water use to a sustainable level. The complex US and European tax systems makes it difficult to see the true cost for energy and water to end users. This should not result in an increase in cost to all users, but a better allocation of costs to those users that place a heavy burden on the world's resources. There are billions in venture and private equity dedicated to clean tech investments, but each requires contacts. CleanTech Energy is not an Investment Banking firm, but we have successfully pitched our projects and technologies to venture and later stage firms over the past decade as technology required the next level of funding. In a limited consulting role, CleanTech Energy can provide guidance on fund raising If you have a technology seeking investment, please email your business plan via our Contact Us form. Let us know if we can forward your business plan to other investors in our network. We have worked with several other angel, venture capital, mezzanine and private equity firms in funding new technologies.
